Often the trickiest and most hard to find good gifts for, the men in our lives shouldn’t miss out on goodies they’ll love this Christmas either though. Now, this is pretty general – ‘the man in your life’ could be your husband or boyfriend, your uncle, your dad, your grandpa, so this gift guide might hit or miss the mark.
I fell in love with these leather satchels long ago and have filed away for when I need a special gift for a special man, the same goes with the beer glasses, have them saved up my sleeve for a rainy day man gift occasion. How cool are they?! Matt’s lunches (which have to be hand held, cold, easy and quick to eat) are looking nothing short of lack lustre these days, I am thinking that investing in a good little hot Thermos will inspire me beyond a sandwich. The weather station is another man-gift stalwart – Matt has a barometre which he loves to check, but I think this would be the next generation step up. If your man is a keen fisherman, yachtie or surfer the brass tide clock is a great idea, and looks pretty too. We fell in love with the ‘Kakadu’ series on the ABC, and I’m sure it’s not just because we have been there (myself twice) so all the spots are familiar. It is just brilliantly shot, a definite contender for Matt’s dad this year. I thought of putting in a cookbook, I’m sure lots of the men in your lives love to cook, but mine *ahem* does not. Unless it’s on a barbeque. With a beer. A beer cookbook? Perfect. And the wooden keyboard and mouse? Well, they’re just all kinds of hipster cool. (And my husband believes that function over aesthetic wins every time, a push in the right direction can’t hurt).
What will you be getting the man in your life this Christmas? Aren’t they difficult to buy for? Why is that?!
