Christmas. The most wonderful time of the year. Come and gone now. We spent the festivities at my mum’s, with my sisters, brother, partners, nieces and all the trimmings. Santa’s snowy footprints, a champagne magnum (lucky for some…), growing belly from baby and pudding and the traditional chip drop from Bill’s plane on the front lawn. Roller skates were broken in, Barbie buses assembled and Grandi’s tank almost run dry from the slip and slide.
We spent Christmas night and a few days afterwards down at Matt’s parents by the beach. Lazy late vegetarian dinners, Boxing Day evening at beautiful Waratah Bay with fabulous friends, testing snorkel gear and new boogie boards in Anderson’s Inlet.
We headed to Lake Nagambie for a few days over New Years to see out 2013 with friends – Matt did a lot of wakeboarding, I did a lot of eating. Back through our beloved Yea for summer fun at ‘Miss Young’s’, then Melbourne bound to stuff as many baby goods as possible in our car (from my sister who is done with babies), then headed due west, over the border and home to ‘Carlton’. A superb almost two weeks at home with our loved ones, but happy to be home to a neglected Bella, my chooks, my wilting veggie patch and a dead Christmas tree.
Are you back from Christmas holidays?
Spend it anywhere special or just at home?

Haha sure! Seems totally normal to us. My dad is a pilot, and along with his friend Bill who also is a pilot they always did a ‘chip drop’ at the local footy at half time, basically flying low over, all the kids run out into the oval, and they drop packets of chips out for the kids to collect. Now Bill does it every Christmas morning over locals houses π Last year most of the chips ended up on the roof though!

I wandered over from Baby Mac after seek your gorgeous crochet blanket, was hoping you would have the details on here. It appears not, but have spent a happy few hours browsing your blog, it’s lovely! Are you planning on doing a post about that lovely blanket? (And congrats on the baby news!)

What a gorgeous Christmas! Our beach is overrun with jellyfish at the moment so we can’t go swimming – I’m a bit jealous of your lovely beach pics! Haha.

That looks like a beautiful Christmas, perfect in all its busyness and family time. I had a quiet one with an unexpected trip to visit Mr Sparky’s family in Townsville but it just didn’t feel like Christmas despite all efforts. I am heading to see family soon so I think another Christmas although late is on the cards or at least to fun, family relaxing time.
