What a weekend! What a lovely, happy, sunshiney, joy filled, blissed out weekend.
Friday morning we packed the car early and headed south to the sea – Matt had client meetings near his parents home so I spent the day with the blossom baby in our second home at Inverloch. A coffee and chai meeting with Mrs P and her small people, perusing Mookah, waking to my beloved’s birthday full of Spring sunshine, muddy birthday cake and ice-creams in the park, a walk to the lovely butcher to secure a butterflied leg of local lamb which we slow roasted for four hours for a special birthday dinner, vanilla poached pears for dessert, glugs of red wine around the table full of family. Eleanor charmed the pants off anyone and everyone, we gobbled lunch with friends at their new forever farm planning their family home to be built with their own hands…and to top it all off – a new little soul born into our family in the wee hours of Sunday morning, a flying visit to Melbourne to meet this sweet babe, home again to a baby of our own who has decided that it is indeed a good idea to sleep all through the night.
Blessed. Blissed.
How on earth will next weekend top it all?!

Gorgeous photos, looks like such a lovely weekend! Every time I check in here I always find more inspiration for my own farm home planning, it’s a forever evolving process that’s for sure.

Lovely photos as always. Eleanor is beautiful. Sleeping through the night? Wow, that’s amazing. I have a 10 day old, so that milestone feels so distant right now π

I love this post because so often we look back thinking “that was such a wonderful day/weekend/stage of my life” but you’re realizing it as it’s unfolding. It’s strange when I’ve never met you, but this post made me feel so warm and fuzzy. So happy for you!

That’s next weekend! So grateful that Eleanor is such a trooper, we just chuck her anywhere and she’s happy as a clam – we did a lot of km’s over the weekend to different places and people and she just giggles through it all. Funny bubba.
