On a quiet and cold Winter’s night, we welcomed our precious daughter into the world. With Mummy’s dark hair and long fingers, and her Daddy’s lips and olive skin, she has stolen our hearts and become our world in just three short days of her time here on Earth. It already seems like she has been here forever, a piece of the puzzle we didn’t even realise was missing.

Welcome Eleanor, we have been waiting so long for you – already loved beyond measure and beautiful beyond words. We are, as expected, blissed out with our girl, running on sheer adrenalin, happy hormones, next to no sleep, kind words, and busily falling head over heels for our Eleanor. Our daughter. Wow.

I will be absent from the blogosphere whilst getting to know my daughter, my role as a Mother and all that this new adventure has in store for us as a new little family. Thank-you for all your beautiful thoughts, prayers and well wishes we have received on Facebook and Instagram. Our hearts are full to bursting.

  8. Congratulation! Eleanor is just beautiful. Best wishes to you both and I hope you can really enjoy the next few weeks. It’s such an amazing journey. I’m a bit biased when it comes to Eleanor’s. My mum is Eleanor as is my little 5 year old. She gets Ellie from most but Eleanor from many who just think the names is gorgeous and when English people say it it is even more beautiful!
