Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night…

December 24, 2015 by Emma

Merry and Bright | She Sows Seeds 3

This year has brought us more joy than I ever thought possible – all in the form of a chubby little girl we call Blossom. And blossom she has – from beginning the year learning to sit (and sleep through the night!), to getting her first tooth at 9 months, learning to crawl at 10 months, turning 1 in June surrounded by our village, finally learning to stand up at 14 months and taking off walking just. like. that. at almost 17 months. This year our chubby baby blossom became a little girl.

Thank you to every single person who spends even a second of their day here in my online space. It is my home away from home, a labour of love, with a whole lot of time, effort and thought gone into making She Sows Seeds to be the (hopefully) happy and inspirational place it has become. Every view, comment, like and share helps me to continue to do what I do – all to be a better mummy to Eleanor and wife and woman. She Sows Seeds and the community I have created here allows me to stay home with Eleanor, for that I’m forever grateful. So, thank you.

I’m signing off now for 2015 – a whirlwind of a year I can’t quite believe is coming to it’s end, from celebrating our first Christmas as a family last year, to renovating our bedroom, co-ordinating the mammoth effort that was the successful return of the Thorpdale Potato Festival, and always more garden tinkering and faffing. I shared the most precious story of our baby girl’s arrival into the world to mark her first birthday, we spent Winter introducing Eleanor to lots of farmy friends, we explored the Flinders Ranges (camping in Winter with a crawler no less). I attended ProBlogger, a long held goal, and in Spring re-launched She Sows Seeds with new perspective, direction and purpose. In October for my birthday my sneaky husband whisked me off to The Apple Isle for a weekend, we also started to reap the benefits of our veggie garden and got all nostalgic about the five year anniversary of us first moving into Brindabella.

Wishing you and yours love, laughter and lashings of ham and champagne. May your stockings and stomachs be stuffed, your tummies and hearts full to bursting. From our little family here in the Gippsland hills, merry Christmas to all and to all a good night…
