To Every Season

April 1, 2014 by Emma

And then…it was April?! Sheesh.

Every March I say it – Autumn, glorious Autumn, is my favourite. Especially in this very special part of the world, where we thoroughly enjoy four defined seasons, where at the moment I wake up in my childhood bedroom and look out over the rolling hills with fog nestled in the valleys. Crisp evenings, sunny days, clear light, what’s not to like?

The most significant season of change I think, this particular Autumn of 2014 speaks volumes to me. So much change going on for us right now – preparing to become parents, finding our feet in a new way of life, and this week in particular as we finally move into our house. Being able to stay at my mum’s for the past two months has been both lovely and a godsend – mum’s are pretty amazing aren’t they? But at the same time we’re ready to do our own thing, write the next chapter of our story, start feathering our nest again and stop rifling through boxes to find things.

Come at me Autumn…Winter…Spring…
I’m ready.
